AI is Not Our Enemy Learn how educators can view AI as a powerful ally, utilizing existing AI platforms to craft lessons with targeted objectives. They will design diverse assessments—sentence frames and guided worksheets—drawing from AI-generated materials. The goal is to equip teachers by fostering a comprehensive understanding of how AI significantly enhances teaching and learning.
A Roadmap for Meaningful Work-Based Learning Participants in this session understand NAF's approach to WBL and will hear from practitioners in a large school district sharing innovations and best practices to equip all students before, during, and after work-based learning experiences including resume reviews, preparation for successful interviews and internships.
Closing the Gap: Logistics and Supply Chain Pathways This provides a comprehensive understanding of career pathways in logistics and supply chain management. It covers various aspects, including industry trends, job roles, required skills, and potential growth opportunities. We hope to empower educators (teachers, counselors, and administration) with the knowledge and resources needed to share with students to pursue a successful career pathway in logistics and supply chain management.
Creative Fundraising Strategies for Advisory Boards This resource was shared during a panel discussion on board fundraising. It was designed to inspire, support, and equip our board members with the knowledge and skills necessary to raise funds effectively for our student programs.

Then, hear from students about their experiences and involvement in our pathway courses, clubs, and internships. Topics covered will include courses offered, e-portfolio, internships, ParaPro certification, dual enrollment, and field experiences.
Leveraging Advisory Boards for Effective Work-Based Learning Gain insight into how Advisory Board members support academy students in a multitude of areas. Board members provide engaging opportunities for students as they progress through the program. Members of the Advisory Board will provide insight into collaborative efforts that align with business needs, curriculum, and the development of academy students.
Make Beats, Learn Code: Learn how to Remix Your Computer Science Curriculum Through beats and bytes, learn about the music mixing platform - EarSketch- that allows students to remix their own beats while learning Python and JavaScript. Learn how EarSketch is used in middle and high school classrooms to engage students in computer science and technology and leave the session will the tools to code the next greatest music hit.
Mastering the Mind: Unveiling the Power of a Mental Balance Sheet Based on Mort Fleischer's book, Building Your Mental Balance Sheet, participants gain techniques to guide students as adaptive learners in building a roadmap for college and career. As a result, students learn to think critically, harvesting skill-building experiences and identifying learning interventions, resulting in a tool for targeting career success. Participants develop their mental balance sheet, which proves how learning experiences have guided them toward their careers.

Not Their Parents’ Internship: Innovative, Scalable Career Preparation Activities for Students Forget grabbing coffee and making copies! There are now expanded options for Career Preparation activities, which enable students to take on real-world challenges and help overcome barriers that impede equity of opportunities. In this session, NAF educators and partners from District C will share different formats and strategies so that all students can have in-depth Career Preparation experiences to identify career aspirations, develop future-ready skills, and build connections.
Strategic Integrations: NAF Curriculum Enrichment through Industry Certifications Certiport's website reviews the industry certifications offered and reviews their standards. Learn we use NAF's third-party NFTE curriculum to embed the ESB Certification. The attendees will choose one of their NAF courses and practice by aligning those standards with the industry certification they chose for students.
Teamwork Makes the Dream Work: Creating Effective Academy Teams Our academies take pride in collaborating with each other when we participate in projects in our classrooms and competitions throughout our district.
