I missed the webinar, can I still watch the recording?
Is the WBL Participation Tracker required?
Beginning in the 2023-2024 school year the WBL Participation Tracker or similar data entry for individual student WBL participation will be required for the NAF network.
Can the WBL Participation Tracker be used to track non-NAF students?
At this time the WBL Participation Tracker should only be used to track NAF students.
How do I add students to the WBL Participation Tracker?
How do I add an activity?
Instructions for adding an activity can be found here.
Who can add an activity?
Any person associated with an academy and/or district can create an activity. That person must be logged into ASH to access the WBL Participation Tracker.
Who can assign students to an activity?
Any person with student level permissions for the academy or district can assign students to an activity.
What is the difference between a creator of an activity and a contributor to an activity?
The creator is the person who added/created the activity in the participation tracker. They are the only person who has permission to edit, deactivate, or archive the activity.
Contributors will only see an activity if an academy they are connected to is listed as a participant. A contributor can then add students, view and copy, or upload files to the activity. They cannot make edits, deactivate, or archive the activity.
I don't see internships. How do I track them?
Internships are currently not part of the WBL Participation Tracker. Click here for information on how to create a new internship. Internships are still being tracked in NAFTrack but look for internships to be included in the participation tracker soon.
How do I see the Reflection Form questions?
The reflection form questions can be found on the WBL Participation Tracker and Reflection Form Resource page or click here.
Where do students complete the Reflection Form?
Students will need to log into their NAFTrack account to access the reflection form link. Directions to create a student account and how to log in can be found here.
Why should students complete the reflection form after each WBL activity?
Reflection is a key component of improving and learning. After each WBL activity student’s have the opportunity to connect what they learned from the activity to how it relates to their college and career goals. More on why reflection matters can be found here.
A student doesn't see the reflection form link in NAFTrack. Why?
If a student doesn’t see the reflection form link follow these steps:
Verify the student was added to the activity
Verify if the student already completed the reflection
Verify the end date of the activity:
If the end date is in the future, the reflection form link will not appear until the end date
If the end date is more than 4 weeks ago, the reflection form link has expired
Verify the Activity Type
If the activity type is College Fair, College Tour, or Other, a reflection form link will not be available
I removed a student from an activity. Will they still receive a reflection form?
Removing a student from an activity means they no longer receive a reflection form link.
I added a student late to an activity. Will they still receive a reflection form?
If you add the student within 4 weeks of the end date of the activity, the student will receive the reflection form link when they log into NAFTrack.
If you add the student 4 weeks or later from the end date of the activity, the student will not receive the reflection form link.
What activities generate a WBL Reflection Form?
A WBL Reflection Form is generated for any WBL activity on the continuum. These include:
Career Awareness: Career Fair, Guest Speaker, Worksite Tour
Career Exploration: Informational Interview, Job Shadow, Mentorship, Resume Review, Mock Interview, Partner Engagement Project, Skills Workshop
Career Preparation: Internship, Clinical Experience, Mentored Industry Project, Apprenticeship/Youth Apprenticeship
The primary activity selected in the WBL Participation Tracker determines what reflection form students see. If the primary activity is not one of the above, students will not get a reflection form.
What activities generate a WBL Skills Feedback Survey?
The WBL Skills Feedback Survey is generated after any Career Exploration activity. These include: Informational Interview, Job Shadow, Mentorship, Resume Review, Mock Interview, and Partner Engagement Project.
The only exception is a Skills Workshop activity which falls under Career Exploration but does not generate a WBL Skills Feedback Survey.
What if I need additional support?
For NAF support, submit a ticket in ASH by clicking the question mark at the bottom right hand corner of the screen.
