September Monthly Updates 2024

Quality Level Process Resources

Hello NAF Network! Welcome our educators that are getting back to school this month! With the Quality Process officially launching September 13th, please take a look at our updated resources regarding the Quality Center process. These include the following:

Access our Quality Level Process Resources by clicking this link.

NAF Track Students

We have redesigned it from the ground up. The new design is built around NAF’s approach to Outcomes-Drive Work-Based Learning. We have intentionally designed the system to help students develop in their pursuit of skills, aspirations and connections.

Teachers – we will include the link this month – it can be used for full class periods or be broken into multiple smaller class activities. This will introduce your students to the new system as well as give them opportunity to build their profile, identify career aspirations and begin to identify their professional network. We will announce it on the ASH homepage with a direct link once it is posted.

We have also created a number of resources for educators. You can find those in the ASH Support Library here - https://ash.naf.org/public/learning-center.academy-practices

If you have any questions, please reach out to NAF Support at support@naf.org

Curriculum & Instruction

We are making some improvements to our NAF-created courses that will bring even more value to our NAF network. Starting this summer, we began requiring users to log-in via ASH for all NAF courses. This update will allow us to better understand who’s accessing our courses, which will enable us to update our content more frequently and tailor these courses to better match the needs of our academies and educators.

By NAF Next 2025, NAF will be rolling out new updates to Global Health, Anatomy & Physiology 1 & 2 (including a new oral health unit), and a complete refresh of Principles of Hospitality & Tourism courses.

If you would like to access and download NAF-created courses, you will need to sign into your free ASH account (available for all NAF academies and their staff). See our guide on setting up your account.

Our work-based learning and advisory board resources as well as our curriculum projects (including NAF Expeditions and Celebrating Careers & Diversity) will remain accessible for those without an ASH account and can be shared more widely.
