Year of Planning Program
How will the ADT ensure the academy implements an open choice enrollment process that maximizes students' access to career and college opportunities, ensuring that students are accepted based on their interests rather than academic or disciplinary records?
Strategic Actions:
1. Develop a student recruitment plan to enroll at least 20 students per grade level, establishing the target enrollment for the Launch Year.
2. Engage feeder-pattern schools and community organizations through targeted outreach, including presentations and workshops highlighting personalized learning.
3. Develop a messaging platform and marketing materials that highlight the academy's features and benefits.
4. Gather feedback from stakeholders to refine recruitment strategies and messaging.
5. Establish a social media presence for the academy.
6. Collaborate with businesses and community partners to host recruitment events and offer mentorship opportunities.
7. Engage stakeholders, including current students and alumni, in recruitment efforts.
8. Develop metrics to measure the success of the recruitment plan.
Use the guiding questions to structure meeting agendas and facilitate a discussion aimed at developing the academy framework.
Guiding Questions:
1. How can the ADT use NAF marketing resources to enhance the student recruitment plan including creating an academy elevator speech, brochure, and recruitment flyers?
2. What is the timeline for recruitment activities and enrollment deadlines to promote the academy and recruit students throughout the community?
3. How will the ADT determine the most effective outreach strategies to reach the target audience, such as school presentations, community events, social media campaigns, and direct mail?
4. Will the ADT conduct surveys and focus groups with stakeholders to refine recruitment strategies?
5. Who will manage the academy’s social media account and promote academy events?
6. How do business and community partners engage in the recruitment process?
7. Will the ADT select a student ambassador to promote the academy?
8. Which ADT members will review the plan’s success and adjust strategies based on results?
